Second, Select the Format of the Clickbank Ad You Want on Your Page.
There are four types of ads plus the search box that you see above. The four different ads are:
Two Horizontal Ads Enclosed Within a Box.
This type of ad looks like:

This ad is constructed from the following Clickbank tag:
<clickbank>foreclosure</clickbank>
<id>bobsherman</id><items>2</items>
<format>H2</format>
<bordercolor>green</bordercolor><cellcolor>#FFFFDD</cellcolor>
This tag defines the following characteristics of your ad:
- The topic. Here it is "foreclosure"
- Your Clickbank ID. Mine is "bobsherman"
- Number of items. Here the value is ignored since the format calls for 2 items.
- Ad format. Here the format is "H2" indicating two ads in a horizontal format.
- Border color. Here the border color is "green".
- Cell color. Here the color is a cream color defined by "#FFFFDD".
Of course, you can select the border color and cell collor to be the same as your page's background. This way, only the text of the ad appears.
And, best of all, there's no "Ads by ....." line to distract your visitors.

This type of ad looks like this:

This tag defines the following characteristics of your ad:
- The topic. Here it is "stop smoking"
- Your Clickbank ID. Mine is "bobsherman"
- Number of items. Here the value is ignored since the format calls for 4 items.
- Ad format. Here the format is "H4" indicating four ads in a horizontal format.
- Border color. Here the border color is "blue".
- Cell color. Here the color is a color defined by "#FFDDDD".
Vertical Format With Unlimited Products.
This type of ad looks like this:

This type of tag works best along the side of your page. Take a look, for example, at my site Where is the Money? On this page you'll see a vertical ad along the right hand side. In addition, after the main article there are additional Clickbank ads in the "inline" format.

Inline Ads Positioned With Your Text.
This type of ad works best when you want to indicate some recommended resources. For example consider the following recommendation:

This ad was defined by the following tag:

The meaning of the tag values is:
- The topic. Here it is "fishing"
- Your Clickbank ID. Mine is "bobsherman"
- Number of items. Here the value 8.
- Ad format. Here the format is "I" indicating an inline format.
For "inline" ads there is no need for the bordercolor and cellcolor items so you can omit them.
Third, Add the Tag to Your Page.
The Clickbank tag can be added anywhere on your page. You just need to enter the tag on one line.
When the page is requested, the Web Page Preprocessor System will find the tag, locate the best selling products for the topic you selected, and replace the tag with the HTML code that displays those products.
That all there is to it.
Clickbank Data File
The Clickbank ads come from your own Clickbank data file on your server. This "database" is a regular file, so you don't have to have MySQL or any other fancy database tools. You can also choose how frequently your data file is updated.
The default link text and descriptions of the products are taken from the Clickbank XML data feed. In addition, you can specify that the "title" and "description" fields from the actual product website be examined for top selling products. With this option, the longer of the Clickbank link text or website title will be used; and the longer of the Clickbank description or the website "description" field will be used. This gives the most accurate descriptions.
You can create your Clickbank data file with the Web Page Preprocessor system's menu. But, the easiest way is to go through your cPanel and create a "cron" job that automatically creates your data file every week. I use a cron job to automatically get the latest products from Clickbank every week.
Dynamic Product Selection
You select the products to display by specifying keywords or phrases that must be contained in either the product link text or description. You can also specify several phrases that will pick products having any of the phrases in their link text or description fields.
Always Display Most Popular Products
Products in your data file are sorted by their popularity in the best category in which they appear. So, as your data file is searched, the top selling products will be found first. This gives you the opportunity to offer the best selling products all the time.
